Crafty Holiday Entertainment

One of my favourite sources for school holiday entertainment inspiration is the Kids Craft Weekly website. Founded by the talented Amber Carvan in 2006, Kids Craft Weekly provides an invaluable source of child-friendly craft ideas that are cheap, fun and (shhh) educational! If you would like to have the Kids Craft Weekly email newsletter delivered to your inbox each week for FREE, just head on over to their homepage at http://www.kidscraftweekly.com/ and subscribe.

A popular craft product available at Send A Toy is Paper Plate Bugs by Alex Toys. This kit includes everything kids need to create 5 fabulous paper plate creatures, including paper plates, buttons, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, pop sticks, pom poms, paper cut outs, stickers, glue stick & picture instruction sheet. One of the best features of this kit is each 'bug' project is individually packaged, which helps control mess and your child will not feel the need to create all 5 bugs in one sitting! (p.s. the kit includes a large glue stick, however, we have found that a stapler, under supervision, also comes in handy).

My daughter's most recent creation from her Paper Plate Bug Kit - we have named her Tallulah!
